Development goals of RTU Institute of Energy Systems and Environment (IESE) – provision of material, technical and scientific basis for the development of Latvian science in the fields of energy and environmental sciences, carrying out scientific research, development of products and services with high added value with purpose to use them for the national economy and also approbate their commercialization on the market of innovative technologies with the help and support of other institutions as well as implement Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral-level study programmes.

Scientific staff of IESE regularly improves their knowledge and experience in various types of qualification raising activities (mobility trips, exchange programs, participation in international projects etc.). Therefore the scientific and technical capacity of the Institute is sufficient for the launch of new projects in the future.
