Institute of Energy systems and Environment provides academic education in “Environmental Science” on three levels – bachelor’s, master’s and doctor’s. “Environmental Science” gives answers on the questions how to reduce human impact on environment, it encourages understanding and analysing the causes of environmental and climate change. This idea is embedded in the foundation of the environmental engineering study program. The study program is created to have technologically minded specialists, who not only take care of sustainable development, but also be able to evaluate, create and implement innovations in the Latvian and other countries’ economy.
The study process combines lectures, practical work at the university and companies, role play games and discussion forums.
