Bioeconomy in the shade of Green Deal
This project aims to develop a tool for determining the impact of EU Strategy “The European Green Deal ” activities on the development of bioeconomy at the national level, to find the optimal and most effective solution between reaching climate goals and adding value to the agricultural, forestry and fisheries resources, and to the development of these economic and scientific sectors. It is not clear the future role of the bioeconomy at the EU level and how (if at all) its strategic objectives and concept will be taken into account, based on changes in other planning documents and legislation within the EU Green Deal. Recommendations based on the results of mathematical modelling, incorporating both public opinion and scientific research methods, will be useful to government and municipal institutions, businesses and NGOs, and society as a whole, to bring to life thoughtfully, meaningful, environmentally and climate-friendly solutions for reducing the impact on climate and environment.
