CO2 Deal: Effective Valorisation of CO2 for Decarbonised Regional Development

The overall objective of the “Integrated decarbonisation solutions for effective CO2 valorisation in regions (CO2 Deal)” project is to develop a roadmap to decision makers on effective valorisation of CO2 in regions of Latvia in environmentally sounded, resilient and business based manner in connection with low-carbon circular economy principles. Selected CO2 valorisation processes will be analysed vs its environmental, social, economic and climate viability. The main sectors of economy to be analysed within the research include: energy generation sources and industries, agriculture, land use and forestry (LULUCF sector), waste management.

The aim of the project is to develop a guide for decision making on efficient CO2 valorisation in Latvian regions to create an environmentally-friendly, durable and business-based (cost-effective high value-added products) form of low-carbon economy.
